Poof

And my hair disappeared!

Before:

Just like on TV, I was so miserable before I got my hair cut...

After:

But then I went to the salon used their wonderful product and had a wonderful stylist and BAM I'm so happy with my new haircut!

I mean I could be the poster face for Paul Mitchell!

Island Park

This weekend my friend Olivia invited me to her cabin in Island Park, Idaho with her brother Brennan and his friends (Karissa, Arty, and Jess). It was a very chill Saturday. We went kayaking, paddle boating, and canoeing.

Then we enjoyed beautiful scenery up in Mesa Falls:

It was a fun relaxing weekend to start off the semester!

Paused

One of my favorite quotes is:
"Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy."
~Guilaume Apollinaire

And that's exactly what me and my family did in the Bahamas on Paradise Island at The Atlantis Resort.

We went to the water park, met a rock star (Kris Allen), swam with the dolphins, enjoyed the sun, played bananagrams, and tons of other things. All in all it was an awesome, much needed vacation.

Now it's back to school...

Hello...Goodbye...HELLO

Hello home I've missed you

But goodbye

for now

Because I'm going on an airplane to say HELLO to warmth, sun, warmth, beaches, warmth, relaxation, warmth, tanning, oh and warmth. All of which are located not in Rexburg or Highlands Ranch but in the Bahamas!

Adios for now my friends!

Goodbye

I'm sad to see the semester's end. I'm deeply going to miss my awesome roommates that are leaving, but I'm glad to be done with finals and now relax. I've learned many things this semester, both in school and the apartment. I've made some new friendships and solidified many, all while having a fun time:

Tressa and I rocking the Snuggies!

Emily, Sarah, and I enjoying a tubing trip at the dunes!

Our apartment and our FHE brother's apartment ready for some hamburgers.

I'm glad I stayed during my off track, especially since I had to endure the cold, but it was worth it. I'll miss you winter semester 2010!

Weekend

This weekend was amazing! BUT I didn't take any pics so sorry for all the writing... It started like this:

Friday Night:
Emily, Tressa, Christian and I went to Big Judd's for some delicious hamburgers. Then we came back to Rexburg and went to our roommate Lindsay's senior recital (she's a music major and one of the requirements her senior year is to do a recital). She was amazing, singing in a different language each song and hitting every note, all of which she had memorized. After enjoying a cultural experience we came home and played my new found love: BANANAGRAMS! All for a good hour. Then we watched YouTube videos until curfew. Then Em, Tresser, and I had a mini sleepover in our room. Tress slept in her bed and Em and I squished into my twin size bed.

Saturday:
We woke up at 9:55, just in time to get into the living room and watch the first session of General Conference (Conference happens twice a year and we listen to the talks prepared and given for our time from our general authorities). After that we made preparations for our breakfast the next then plopped down on the couch for the second session of conference. After that Emily and I hit up DownEast Basics and I found a spring dress ON SALE! (Mom, I know you're so proud). In the evening Tressa and I watched Nacho Libre, SO FUNNY. Then we had another sleepover only this time Lindsay, Tressa, and I pulled our mattresses out to the living room and Emily slept on the couch. We got all comfy and fell asleep to some good cartoon movies. (My twin size bed felt like a king size with Emily not there).

Sunday:
I woke up first and my roommates followed and we made a delicious Easter breakfast. After all of us (my roommates and Christian) devoured the waffles, potatoes, sausage and eggs we sat and lied down for the Sunday morning session of conference. After two hours of that we took a break and played Pit and Bananagrams until conference started up again at 4. I was going to try and be productive by writing my friend who is on a mission, but instead I stayed awake and of course payed attention by playing Monopoly on my phone with Christian. After a peaceful Easter Sunday, I decided to be productive and start on homework I have for the busy week of finals ahead of me.

All in all it was a great weekend, I'm so grateful for the opportunity to hear the words of the Lord from the comfort of my own home!
