Family and Friends,
Dream come true. I met an Apostle of the Lord. Elder David A. Bednar came to visit our mission and the East mission on Wednesday. Only those of us that were in Lima had the great opportunity to be taught by him. It was a super interactive 3 hours with him. Beforehand we had to study 3 talks and then he had us share what we learned and ask him questions. It was pretty awesome because I asked him a question, pretty much talked with him. Then after the 3 hours were finished, he had us all come up and shake his hand and all the other General Authorities of the area that were there. He thanked me for my question :):) Starstruck. That was the highlight of my week and I hope you all had a great week as well. Scripture that I´ve memorized this week: 1 Nephi 19:9. Read it. Great example of love and patience.

Familia y Amigos,
I hope everyone had a great week this week! Life here in Perú is going great! Here´s a picture of my new companion, Hermana De la Cruz, and myself.
She´s from here in Perú and this is her second area, here in Monterrico. She´s super excited to do work!
I was reading an old Conference Ensign from 2009 and I found this quote in a talk by Elder Dallin H. Oaks, he quoted Mother Teresa: "We can do no great things, only small things with great love." I really liked it and wanted to share it with all. Charity, the pure love of Christ, is a Christlike attribute that we should always strive to develop. I´ve learned that we are truly nothing without it.

Family and Friends,
Well conference was pretty much great. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did and if you missed it check it out on the internet. My companion, Hermana Toral, was transferred to Ica (the area I was in before I came here to Monterrico). It was a SAD day to see her go, but if there aren´t any changes in life there is no way we can progress and become who our Heavenly Father knows we can become. My new companion is Hermana De la Cruz, she´s from here in Perú and is waiting for her visa to go to Argentina. She was in another part of the mission and now we´re here in Monterrico working together. Everything is going great here down south. I hope you all have a great week!

Familia y Amigos,
Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Here in Perú, it´s called Semana Santa (Holy Week) and they start celebrating on Thursdayuntil the weekend; which meant that everyone left and went out of town for the vacations. On Friday one of the busiest streets in our area was completely empty. We´re all super excited for the Conference this weekend! Can´t wait to hear any news the Prophet and Apostles have to share. That´s all I´ve got from here down south! We´re starting to feel the Fall coming on, each night it´s a little cooler and cooler. Well I hope you all have a great week and thank you so much for your love and support!
