RIP

I am sad to announce that Alejandro passed away.

This morning coming out of the room, Lindsay asks, "Felicia, why is there a bird in the bathroom?"

I go to look and Alejandro escaped from the dryer, chirping away. But the sad thing was his leg and wing were broken.

So we called the only vet in Idaho open on a Sunday and asked what to do, they said to bring him in and they would put him to sleep, because that's all they could do for wild animals.

After sacrament meeting we bundled the bird in a shoe box and went to the vet all the way down in Idaho Falls and took our poor baby to be put to sleep.

It was sad...

RIP Alejandro, your chirps will be missed.

Ale Ale Alejandro

The wonderful weather brings wonderful creature out into the world...or apartment.
Here's the story:

Walking past the vanity I heard chirping, I stood there for a while and it continued I finally decided: There's a bird in the bathroom. I went to go get Jenn and tell her to come listen and she heard it too. I checked both the bathrooms and nothing. Banged on the dryer and the chirping stopped for two seconds. We finally decided it was in the wall coming in from the outside and went about our day.

Later, as I was walking to my room I heard fluttering and ran back to Jenn's room and told her. I then walked back again and heard flapping wings again but nothing came out.

After calling numerous amounts of people we finally got a guy in our ward, Colt, to come over and get it out. He pulled out the dryer and found tons of dust but no bird.

Then he figured out it was in the tube that is connected to the wall. He unscrewed the tube and once again no bird. We were beginning to doubt our hearing. Then he turned on the dryer and out popped the bird, which then huddled close to the wall on the floor in fear.

Colt grabbed him in a towel and set him free.

You think it's the end but no. While sitting on the couch, going about the rest of our evening, we paused when we heard another chirp.

Yes our new friend/pet bird, Alejandro, is back in our dryer.

Now we can't use it...

3

So I was going to wait and share the epic, third installment of the trilogy that started off Pixar, with my family....But I couldn't wait. This afternoon I saw Toy Story 3 with Jenn.

It was awesome, epic, classic, sad and many other choice adjectives!

See it!

So The Sun Does Shine In Rexburg

In the dead of winter here in Rexburg, I wondered what the sun looked like, even during this semester the sun was a far fetched thing, rainy and windy almost everyday...But this last week, the sun has been shining and the temp has been above freezing.

This is why I go to school in Rexburg:

Mature, beautiful, green trees, blue skies, and the sun.

Love

After one day I have fallen in love with a Nikon D60. Sadly my love is interrupted because it's Kyle's, he has graciously let me play with it. This is what I have taken today (click on them to see them bigger):

Hopefully this love will continue for a while, I'll post more pics if it does.

Busy

This past Saturday was busy and fun

Jenn and I volunteered for the Teton Dam Marathon, for the sole purpose of getting a t-shirt that says "Dam Volunteer." We woke up at 6:30 in the morning, grumbling about the time from going to sleep at about 1 that morning. (Our grumbling bit us in the butt later that day.)

(I was tired...)

We got to the van to take us to our spot on time but then the lady driving got lost and we spent an hour of our volunteer time in the warm car, not bad if I must say. Then we got to our spot and they didn't have enough t-shirts so we drove to another water station and they didn't have t-shirts either.

So we walked a mile, in the wind and cold, to the next one and helped the short staffed water station, which was fun once the runners came and we got busy. But our karma for grumbling was that we didn't get the shirts! The only reason we signed up! We then came home at 10:30 and went straight to bed, t-shirt-less.

When we woke up at 1:27 we got ready for our mystery dinner. Jenn got Marcel waves done in her hair:

Then we were ready for a night on the town aka campus.

There were 6 tables and each had to solve the mystery from the character information that was assigned to them.
I was Inspector Blewitt...

And Jenn was Esmerelda...

It was fun and I was kind of running our table making sure to ask good questions as I investigated the two murders. It was fun and Jenn won best actress at our table.

It was a fun and busy Saturday!

Mid to the Terms

This past week was midterms, that's why I've been absent from the blogging world.
This was my To Do list for the week:

Then after much hard work and perseverance and a lot of stress my To Do list finally looked like this:
